We aim for the smallest data footprint that lets us do honest engineering work. This page tells you what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect

One thing, on purpose: the email address you put into our briefing form, plus the request metadata our hosting provider captures (timestamp, IP address, page that referred you, user-agent string). Nothing else. We do not run cookies. We do not run third-party tracking pixels.

Why we collect it

So a human at Datanation can reply to the inquiry you sent. The referrer is captured so we know which page of the site moved you to write — that signal helps us write better future content, but it is never sold or shared.

How long we keep it

Your email lives in the founder's inbox indefinitely, until you ask us to delete it (we will). Server access logs follow the host's default retention.

Who we share it with

Nobody. Cloudflare Web Analytics serves our page-view counts and is cookieless — it does not see your email and does not associate visits with individuals.

How to ask us to delete it

Email founders@datanation.com with the subject "Delete my data". We will confirm within one business day.
